Start the Year Right: Your Montreal March Break Survival Kit Checklist

The new year is here, and with it comes the countdown to your unforgettable March Break trip to Montreal! As you gear up for the adventure of a lifetime, we’ve put together your ultimate survival kit checklist to make sure you’re ready to go. No need to worry—just follow these simple steps, and you’ll be all set to have a blast in Montreal.

1. Your Essential Travel Docs

Before you board the bus, make sure you have a valid Photo ID with your full name and picture. This can include a Driver’s License, Health Card, High School ID, or similar. We strongly recommend that you do not take your passport unless it’s your only form of photo ID. In addition, be sure to print your MTL Break Travel Documents and Code of Conduct. When boarding the bus, you will need to hand in your signed Code of Conduct Form to your Trip Leader.

2. Layer Up for Montreal Weather

Montreal in March? Brrr! Pack cozy layers and don’t forget a warm jacket, hat, gloves, and sturdy boots. Whether you’re strolling through Old Montreal or partying with friends, staying warm will keep the fun going.

3. Tech Gear to Keep You Connected

Your phone is your lifeline on this trip. Make sure it’s charged up, has extra storage space for photos, and that you’ve got data to stay connected. Oh, and don’t forget portable chargers—nothing’s worse than running out of juice when you’re out exploring!

4. Snacks for the Road

Long bus rides are a part of the journey, so keep your energy up with some favorite snacks. Granola bars, trail mix, or your go-to comfort food can be a lifesaver when you need a quick pick-me-up.

5. Entertainment for Downtime

Whether you’re on the bus or relaxing in your hotel room, bring something to keep you entertained. A good book, playlist, or a podcast for the ride are all great options!

6. A Camera (or Phone) to Capture It All

You’ll want to remember this trip forever, so bring along something to capture all those epic moments. Whether it’s your phone, a disposable camera, or even a GoPro for those action shots, make sure you’ve got something that lets you preserve the memories.
